Steelcase Newsbrief

Press trip 2008

Steelcase invited six journalists from the UK to France to Steelcase’s European headquarters in Strasbourg. The Steelcase WorkLab in Strasbourg is the focal point for the business in Europe.  It is where the whole community of design, prototype trialing and sales come together and provides the living, breathing embodiment of all that Steelcase does.   It is a truly magnificent building.

The six journalists, included national and trade press were instantly impressed by their surroundings and quickly began to understand what the Steelcase WorkLab represents and what it is that Steelcase sets out to achieve.

The WorkLab is about removing formality, breaking down barriers, promoting mobility and increasing the productivity of collaboration.

During the trip key Steelcase figures shared their most recent research, including an in-depth insight into the differences in cultures, presented by Catherine Gall, Head of Workspace Futures Research.

Needless to say it was not all work and no play, an evening of good company, food and wine, followed a very informative enjoyable tour of the WorkLab but that’s all we’re saying!
