FX Awards Designers Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson, founders of PearsonLloyd the award winning London based design team, have been named as finalists at this years FX Awards for their innovative design of Steelcase’s UK headquarters. Steelcase, the global leader in office furniture, opened its WorkLife centre on Farringdon Road in November last year. It is a state-of- the-art office, showroom and resource centre and will feature in the ‘Workspace Environment’ category of the awards. The WorkLife is used for product launches, industry seminars and sales events as well as a working environment for the company’s 60 employees. PearsonLloyd created a multifunctional space that allows customers to experience Steelcase products as they would be in the environment. Tom Lloyd of PearsonLloyd said: “We are exceptionally passionate about the industry of workplace design and delighted to be recognized for our work. The design of the WorkLife space represents a holistic approach involving architecture, design, technology and furniture. It is a creative design-led environment, which is modern, fun and capable of supporting multiple functions and identities. We wanted to help create a great place to work in which provides Steelcase with the best possible tool to excel in what they do.” The FX Awards recognise and celebrate excellence in the global interior design sector. The ceremony will take place on the 28th October at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane. |
