Steelcase Newsbrief

The countdown has begun to the launch of Steelcase UK’s new headquarters in London opening 22 November.

Steelcase has launched a digital countdown on its website leading up to the official opening of its new ‘WorkLife’ centre on 22 November.

Located across the globe, each WorkLife centre is a place where work and life meet, and a space to welcome, inspire and connect with our customers.

The new WorkLife London has been a collaborative process between the Steelcase design team and the interior designers Pearson Lloyd. It was designed to be not just a showroom, but a place for learning and discovery.

There will be many great elements that make up the new WorkLife space, such as the LED lighting and showroom prototypes like the ‘working concept’ additions to the B Free Lounge.

It will also showcase developments in the use of workspace based on Steelcase research into changing work styles and practices.

To celebrate the launch of the new WorkLife space, renowned portrait photographer, Terry O’Neill will be holding an exhibition which tells the WorkLife London story through his eyes.

Mark Spragg, Managing Director of Steelcase said: “Terry’s passion for photographing people accompanied by our passion for people in the workspace is the premise behind the exhibition. The exhibition will be an outstanding addition to an already amazing space.”

The 16 photographs on display will be unveiled publicly during the official opening and include portraits of John Small of Foster and Partners, Colin Crooks, the CEO of Green-Works, Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson of Pearson Lloyd, just to name a few.

Steelcase has over 17 WorkLife centres worldwide, with 9 in Europe.  Each centre provides a space to experience Steelcase’s brand promise as well as offering new ways of working and advanced innovative solutions to our customers.
