BUSINESS INFO MAGAZINE AWARDS B FREE LOUNGE ‘EDITORS CHOICE’

Steelcase's  B Free Lounge has been awarded the ‘Editor’s choice award’ by respected industry magazine, Business Info.

James Goulding, Editor of Business Info attended our customer event at the Royal Society of Arts in June and awarded B Free Lounge the ‘Editor’s choice’ for functionality, design and innovation.

B Free Lounge is made up of fabric covered; cubes, beams, tables, stools and accessories, which can be arranged in any number of combinations to suit the environment they are placed in.  The ability to use a small number of core building blocks to create different settings and to suit specific requirements; from relaxation to brainstorming, demonstrates the ranges flexibility; which is the beauty of the B Free Lounge.

James Goulding said: “The flexibility and freedom that the B Free Lounge offers will allow designers and facilities managers to breathe life into the traditionally ‘dead zones’ of their offices.”

He went on to say: “A design such as the B Free Lounge shows that innovation can be driven by a better understanding of the social and cultural aspects of the modern office environment.”

On receiving the award, Karin Grandhay, Marketing and Communications Director, Steelcase said: “We are delighted to have won this award.  Business Info is a highly respected publication within the public and private sector, and one that a vast number of our clients subscribe to. We are particularly proud of the B Free Lounge range because it highlights our commitment to truly innovative design and our understanding of how office environments are evolving. It proves that social and behavioural research can also drive design.”

Director of Business Info, Ethan White presented the award at the Steelcase offices last Thursday.
