Dairy UK
Trade Organisation PR & Issues Management/ Current
Introduction
Media House was employed in 2004 to develop a brand and communications strategy for Dairy UK, the then newly formed trade organisation for the UK dairy industry. Four years later we continue to advise the organisation on political and media strategies.
Objectives
To position Dairy UK as the new united voice of the dairy industry in Britain. To establish Dairy UK as the first port of call for dairy industry issues amongst government, industry and media representatives. To provide ongoing issues management and PR support.
Results
Dairy UK now sustains personal relationships with target business, environmental and consumer journalists on trade and national news press and broadcast media. Following successfully parliamentary events, political bulletins and policy submissions, the organisation also works closely with relevant government bodies including the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the Office of Fair Trading. Media House has secured a wealth of positive press for Dairy UK across farming and agricultural press, and has used innovative initiatives to secure national and broadcast media interest. We provide continually updated issues management and communications guidelines for Dairy UK and handle all sensitive media inquiries.
Testimony
"Dairy UK is involved in a host of activities on behalf of its members from political lobbying to technical training. We deal with serious issues like milk pricing, competition policy and climate change every day. Media House has proved itself as an extremely versatile advisor, balancing well the competing demands we make on their time."
